The Destination Food hall

Duke Street, Liverpool

This spacious multi-level food hall celebrates the beauty in the combination of maximalism and hints of retro: exposed brick rubs shoulders with neon lights, vintage radios are stacked beside graffiti walls, columns stand a ceiling draped with delicate floral blooms. Industrial yet theatrical, the space is orderly chaotic, joyful and layered in its design holding it all together. Walls act like galleries with rows of colorful plates, street art and patterned tiles.

The seating zones are differentiated in their tone and textures; plush seating curves around the columns, terrazzo and wooden topped tables stretch between banquettes and bistro chairs, a marble topped bar table curves across a patterned mosaic band underfoot. Every area is distinct in its approach yet it all feels cohesively connected through the shared palette of warm hues, burnt orange, mustard, sage and deep green balanced by greenery that climbs and spills across the levels.
