Transforming India’s truck culture into an all-encompassing sensory experience, this jaunty restaurant creates a spatial immersion celebrating highway dhabas.

A full-scale decorated truck is positioned in the center to serve as sculpture as well as functional seating anchoring the entire space. Hand-painted in vibrant reds, blues and yellows with traditional motifs, tassels and metallic embellishments, this vehicle becomes the literal and conceptual heart of the project. The truck’s cargo bed transforms into an elevated dining platform, allowing guests to dine within it. Surrounding booths feature truck-inspired partition walls painted in lively orange and green with folk art detailing and neon edge lighting. The ceiling exposes all industrial ductwork with custom light fixtures crafted from repurposed truck parts such as headlights and grilles. Walls hold vintage Bollywood posters in bold red and yellow frames alongside hand-painted door panels from real trucks mounted as artworks. Following the chaos, the flooring employs multiple patterns and materials that transition between zones.
