Residence Gulmohar

South Delhi, India

Calm, collected, and understated, this home speaks softly through muted tones, beige walls, and spaces that flow effortlessly. It’s designed for luxury to show up in craft rather than spectacle. The main living area opens generously, connected to adjoining spaces through wide openings framed in white. A vintage piano anchors one corner, its dark wood providing contrast against the lighter palette. Custom furniture throughout, a geometric inlay coffee table, curved console tables, quilted upholstery in soft grays and blues allow pops of colour come through: teal accent chairs, jewel-toned pillows, and patterned rugs that add warmth to the polished stone floors.

Flooring makes a statement where the walls stay muted. Lighting is layered and warm as cove lighting bathes spaces in a soft glow, while oversized gold-leaf table lamps act as sculptural accents. Large windows fill the rooms with natural light filtered through roman blinds. Every detail is purposeful. This is a home designed for living, where elegance is quiet, lies in quality, and the experience of moving through the spaces feels as natural as it does refined.
