Bajaj Residence

New Delhi, India

Designed to leave an impression, this residence balances boldness with control. Every surface, every detail, is chosen to lean into richness, to layer luxury until it feels immersive. Walnut, marble and brass materials carry the weight and presence of the design threading through the interiors in continuity.

The gesture upon entry is vertical. A sculptural staircase rises through a double-height void. Behind it, the wall folds into a geometric relief, catching and bending light into shifting patterns across the day. The private rooms too, embrace fullness with panelled walls wrapping around spaces entirely and interrupted by slabs of book-matched marble. Light also becomes material through chandeliers scattering crystals across ceilings or brass forms that twist like vines. Even the lower floor leans into the atmosphere. Bronze mirrors and an arched bar turn it into a space closer to a private club. What ties it all together isn’t excess, but control.
